Your dashboard is your personal overview of everything you’ve recorded and contributed. You also have a public profile that other members can visit, which shows your recording highlights without any private details.
Opening Your Dashboard
- Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner of the website.
- Select Dashboard.
What’s on Your Dashboard
- Observations, Confirmed, Unconfirmed, Species and Vice Counties: headline counts for your records.
- Monthly Activity: a chart of how many observations you’ve made each month.
- Top Species: the species you’ve recorded most often.
- Badges: the recorder badges you’ve earned. Hover over or tap a badge to see what it’s for. See Recorder Badges.
- Favourites: observations you’ve saved with the heart icon.
- Contributions: how many agreements, confirmations and ID suggestions you’ve made on other members’ observations.
- Habitats Explored: the habitats you’ve recorded in.
- iNaturalist: whether your iNaturalist account is connected.
- Recent Activity: the latest agreements, suggestions and comments on your observations, and your own activity on others’.
If you’re an Identifier, your dashboard also shows how many observations are disputed, when there are any. See Disputed Observations.
Your Public Profile
Every recorder has a public profile page. Other members reach it by clicking your name on your observations, comments or ID suggestions. It shows:
- When you started recording
- Your observation, confirmed and species counts
- Your recent observations and top species
- Your monthly activity, contributions, habitats explored and vice counties
- Your badges
Your public profile never shows your email address, your favourites, your activity feed or your iNaturalist connection. Observation locations on it follow each observation’s location privacy setting.

In the App
- The Home tab shows your Observations and Confirmed counts, your recent activity and your badges.
- The Me tab lists Your Observations and your Activity. The heart icon at the top opens your favourites and the cog opens Settings.
