All your records are in one place on the Your Observations page, with a map and tools to search and filter them. You can also browse everyone’s observations.
Your Observations on the Website
- Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner.
- Select Your observations.

At the top you’ll see your Total observations, number of Species and number Confirmed, followed by a map of your observations and a grid of photos.

Searching and Filtering
- Search: find observations by genus, scientific or common name.
- Status: All Observations, Confirmed Only or Pending Confirmation.
- Sort: Newest First, Oldest First or By Species Name.
Click Clear to reset. More observations load as you scroll.
Confirmed observations show a green tick. Click any observation to open it.
Browsing Everyone’s Observations
Click Observations in the main menu to see records from the whole community, with a map and a photo grid. You can:
- Search by genus, scientific or common name
- Filter by status: All Observations, Confirmed or Unconfirmed (Identifiers also see Disputed)
- Filter by vice county
- Filter by date
Click a recorder’s name on any observation to see their public profile.
In the App
- Your observations: tap the Me tab. Your records are listed under Your Observations. A badge shows when there are new comments you haven’t seen.
- Everyone’s observations: tap the Browse tab. Tap the filter icon next to the title to show All observations, Confirmed or Unconfirmed (and Disputed if you’re an Identifier). A label under the title shows which view you’re in, and tapping its ✕ goes back to all observations.
- On a map: tap the Explore tab. See Viewing the Observation Map.
