Creating an account on Field Mycologist UK is quick and free. Once you’re registered you can record observations, help identify other members’ finds and use the same account on the website and in the mobile app.
Registering on the Website
- Click Create account in the top-right corner of any page, or go straight to the registration page.
- Enter your First Name and Last Name.
- Enter your Email address. This is used to log in, for password resets and for any notification emails you choose to receive.
- Create a Password of at least 8 characters and enter it again in Confirm password.
- Tick the box to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Click Register.
- You’ll see Registration complete! Please log in. Log in with your email and password and you’re ready to go.
You’ll also receive a welcome email. Your display name, the name shown on your observations, starts as your first initial and surname (for example “J. Smith”). You can change it at any time in your settings.
Registering in the App
- Open the Field Mycologist app and tap the sign up link on the login screen.
- Enter your first name, last name, email and a password (at least 8 characters), then confirm the password.
- Tick the box to accept the Terms and Conditions, then tap Create Account.
Your account works everywhere, so you can register in the app and log in on the website, or the other way round.
Tip: The app is free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad and on Google Play for Android.
