Gymnopus ocior, commonly known as the spring toughshank, is seen infrequently in woodland and parkland throughout Britain and various European regions. It typically grows in spring, summer, and autumn as a saprotroph on soil in all types of forests and parks, on dry leaves, wood residues, and fallen twigs.
